During the motorcycle ride we visited local crafts people.
These are Incense Sticks.

Then the afternoon got really exciting!

I'm on red bike in black tshirt just right of centre and Irene is on red bike to my right.

We drove around in a convoy of 16 bikes through several villages surrounding Hue for over three hours. There were so so many interesting local scenes .... it's impossible to capture them all. Apart from anything else, I was zooming by at probably 25 mph although at times it felt more like 60 mph.

Emperor's tomb complex. The exact location of the burial of is a secret because so many valuables were buried with the Emperor's body.

To ensure secrecy all 200 gravediggers were beheaded!

Pagoda in Hue. This is a former capital of Vietnam so there were lots of historic sights/sites to visit. We had a great guide whose English was good although sometimes we struggled with his accent. He was so happy to share his knowledge of the region's history - a real treat.

Same Same but Different!

This couple chose Western Style dress for their wedding the same afternoon.

This couple were having their wedding photos taken by the moat in the Emperor's complex. I just know that Edward would have struggled with the time taken for each photo. They must have spent at least 20 mins on this pose. But we all made the most of it and got great photos.

Our group including Bo our "leader".
This was taken when we visited the Emperor's tomb in Hue.

Big ears are a sign of longevity.
Just in from a great day out on bicycles. We cycled to a fishing village 6 kms from the hotel. The trip was organized by an entreprising local man. He took us to his village, where I managed to have a wee row about on the river in the tiniest of circular rush boat. We then had lunch in his home. It was delicous traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
Now heading to the pool to relax before this evening's adventure of swimming and dinner at a local beach.
I am still struggling with the number of photos to be posted. More of them next time.
